Assalamu Alaikum, I AM SAQIB, and
Good Evening!
I hope you all are doing well.
Since the release of the UK
Immigration White Paper, many people have been confused and even panicking.
There's a lot of misinformation out there—mainly because non-experts are
posting videos on TikTok and YouTube for views without understanding the legal
aspects.
As a professional immigration
consultant, I decided not to rush into making a video. Instead, I took time to
print and carefully read the full 72 pages of the White Paper. Only after
thoroughly understanding the key points did I create a detailed and accurate
video for you.
The
Problem: Confusion from Unverified Sources
Many people are confused because:
- They rely on social media influencers who are not
lawyers.
- They hear bits of information out of context.
- There's no proper explanation of how the new rules will
actually impact them.
That’s why I always say: Don’t
panic. Understand the information properly before reacting.
Summary
of July 2nd Immigration Rule Changes
Here’s a simplified explanation of
what’s changing:
- Salary Thresholds for Skilled Worker Visas have increased from £38,700 to £41,000+.
- International recruitment for healthcare workers has been restricted.
- However, there are no major changes in how you apply
for a Skilled Worker visa if you have completed your education and
have a valid job offer.
It doesn’t matter whether the offer
is from a pharmaceutical company or a tech firm. If you have a valid Certificate
of Sponsorship (COS), you can apply.
Student
Visa Updates
Many people are asking:
“Is it true that international
students can no longer apply for undergraduate programs after July 2nd?”
The answer is simple: No, that’s
fake news.
There have been no changes for
students effective July 2nd. However, there is a possible future proposal (not
confirmed yet) that international students may be required to pay a deposit
of £10,000 before applying. This is still under consideration and not yet
official. I’ll update you as soon as I receive further confirmation.
ILR
& Spouse Visa – No Changes Yet
If you're already on a spouse
visa or going through the ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) route,
there are no new rules affecting you as of now.
People often worry about what might
happen in July, but if you’re already in the 5-year or 10-year ILR path, your
route stays the same.
Teaching
Assistant on Immigration Bail? Here's the Truth
A great question came from someone
who’s on immigration bail and wants to apply for a Skilled Worker Visa as a Teaching
Assistant. The truth is:
If you’re on immigration bail, even applying for a higher position like a
Principal at Cambridge University won’t help. The Home Office is unlikely
to grant a Skilled Worker Visa in such cases.
Asylum
Cases & Family Reunions
Another common question is:
“How long does it take for an asylum
decision or refugee family reunion?”
On average:
- Asylum decision time:
6 to 8 months
- Family reunion process: Although the given time is 8 weeks, in reality, it
often takes 4 to 6 months
This depends on the strength of your
evidence, application history, and how properly you follow the process.
Can
You Still Apply for Restaurant & Hotel Jobs After July 22?
Yes! There are no restrictions on
hospitality industry jobs. If the employer is a licensed sponsor and issues
a COS, you can apply under the Skilled Worker route—even after July 22nd.
High
Refusal Rate in Skilled Worker Visa – Why?
Some people are getting repeated
refusals and ask why.
Here's the truth:
- If you're overstaying
- If you’re on immigration bail
- If you haven’t completed your education
- If your sponsor isn’t genuine
Then yes, your application is likely
to be refused. It's not about new laws—it’s about your current status and
how you apply.
